The Transport Overseas Group (TO Group) is continuing its international growth strategy and founded Transport Overseas Shipping (Americas), Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 1, 2025. At the same time, Allround Forwarding Midwest Inc. was acquired, including its experienced team and existing operational structures.

With the establishment of its US location, the TO Group is creating a strategic hub for North America Services and strengthening its role as an international logistics service provider offering tailor-made solutions for sea and air freight, project and breakbulk logistics, and roll-on/roll-off transport. At the same time, the group acts as a shipping agency for Bahri Line in Northern Europe and Scandinavia. By combining local expertise and global networking, customers can take advantage of seamless, international transport and logistics solutions across North America, Europe, and other key markets.

The acquisition of Allround Forwarding Midwest ensures a smooth transition for existing customer relationships. Contact persons, processes, and agreed service levels will remain unchanged while integration into the global structure of the TO Group is gradually implemented. For customers, this means expanded capacities, short decision-making processes, and increased service quality along the entire supply chain.

We are delighted to announce that our Helsinki branch opened on 1 November. For this further milestone in our success story, we were able to recruit the experienced specialist Martin Malmi (49).

The former NMT branch manager also worked at WWL and EUKOR for a long time. At NMT, he led the Finnish branch and was responsible for the Baltic countries. Martin is well experienced in the local market, and his knowledge is invaluable to us. And for you!

As per now, Martin will be responsible for developing the project logistics market in Finland and Scandinavia, using the TO Group’s portfolio. He will also establish regular short-sea connections from Finland to Germany and Belgium, working with current and new shipping lines.

The Transport Overseas Group (TO Group) and Polaris Autoliners are intensifying their collaboration. With effect from 1 January 2025, TO Group, an independent shipbroker and liner agent focusing on roll-on/roll-off, breakbulk and project logistics solutions based in Bremen, has officially assumed the role of commercial agent for Polaris Autoliners. TO Group is expanding its global network with additional trades between the Mediterranean region and Turkey, Europe and Oceania (Australia/New Zealand), as well as Europe and Norway. Polaris Autoliners is a British shipping company specializing in roll-on/roll-off (RoRo).

The deal is done: MOSOLF Port Logistics & Services GmbH (MPLS) has taken over 100% of the Transport Overseas Group with effect from 2 January 2025 – Christian Weber and Steffen Klatte will manage the business from now on.

“We are delighted to have taken over the TO Group with its special industry expertise and to be able to offer our customers sustainable and, above all, long-term complete supply chain solutions from a single source”, says Dr Jörg Mosolf, CEO of the MOSOLF Group.

As part of the strategic realignment of MPLS and the integration of the TO GROUP, Steffen Klatte and Christian Weber will be appointed as Managing Directors of both companies. We will further strengthen our market position and become even more attractive and efficient for our customers,’ says Steffen Klatte, Managing Director of MPLS and the TO Group.

The synergy effects and joint efforts are already having an impact,’ adds Christian Weber. The partnership with LUKA KOPER (Port of Koper) in Slovenia – one of the most important hubs for cargo handling and an important location with a state-of-the-art car and ro/ro terminal – has already been active since January 2025.

As of the 1st of October, we are pleased to welcome four new colleagues to our Bremen office.

Bjoern Leimkuehler has been started as Sales/Business Development Manager in the Project Area. He is well known to us and an absolute expert in the scene. Björn will be working for us in Western and Southern Germany.

Christian Bains starts as Team Leader Dispo and will be responsible for the integration of special vehicles in the Project Area, as well as managing haulage companies.

Melissa Witte has joined the Shipping Department in Customer Care and will work with us for a year before leaving for university.

Our Financial Department has been strengthened by Calvin von Bassen. Together with Mareike Bauhahn, he has completed further training to become a financial accountant.
